Registry CleanUP - Optimization utility for the Windows Registry
In many cases, registry errors are the root of your problems. An application may not work correctly or it might not work at all due to invalid or missing keys. If left unattended, these errors will slow down your computer and they will cause further issues. Removing broken keys will solve these problems, but if you do it yourself, manually, you risk serious damage to your computer. Judging by its name, you can deduce that Registry CleanUP will optimize your registry. It will scan for errors, fix them, defragment the whole registry and more.
The software comes with additional tools and settings for your browser, but you can decline them by selecting the custom installation option, during the setup process. Registry CleanUP will be installed swiftly and you can run it right away. It works with various Windows platforms and its system requirements are low.
The software can analyze, clean, repair and defragment the Windows Registry in a single run. You can start this process in one of the many sections on the interface. Although the section is called "Wizard", you will not have to go through different steps by clicking Next buttons. You only need to select what tasks to execute. It is possible to opt just the analysis, clean and repair function, the registry defragmentation or both. A third option is to restart the computer when the process is complete.
The registry can be analyzed and defragmented separately, in different sections of the interface. Before starting an analysis, you can select what type of keys the program should scan. If it finds any errors, you can access a results list, in the same section, where you will find all the broken or invalid keys. When the scanning is complete, the same button which started the process can be used to start cleaning up the found errors. The software will back up the registry before anything else and you can restore it at any time, in one of the program's sections.
The Defrag section contains a color coded list with registry categories and how much disk space they take up. This information is displayed as a pie chart as well, making it easy to see what categories take up more or less space. You can start the defragmentation process by clicking the large button on the bottom edge of the interface, just like in the other sections.
The registry itself can be accessed and edited, on a separate page. You will find the same tree structure with registry keys and a search function will help you find specific items faster. Additional tools include a startup manager, which can be used to prevent applications from launching automatically, a scheduler and shortcuts to Windows tools, like disk cleanup or defragmentation.
Pros:
Before repairing or defragmenting it, your registry will be backed up automatically, so Registry CleanUP is completely safe. It can perform all the optimization tasks at once or you can do it yourself manually.
Cons:
The software does not come with its own disk cleanup and defragmentation utilities.
With Registry CleanUP's powerful and flexible tools, you can keep your system running smoothly at all times.
